The Australian duo Camilla and Marc are the creators of one of our favorite and most fashion-forward lines. Their fall line makes us yearn for beautiful silhouettes in draped suede and leather with punches of color and print.

Their pre-fall 2010 collection calls on ethnic influences influenced by a multitude of world cultures. Striking prints give an exotic look to the collection and are used throughout the collection from draped dresses to bags. Bright tweeds and silks complement the olive, gray and khaki palette nicely and add a freshness to the always beautiful shapes and draping the duo is known for.

Check with us soon for these nice fall finds from Camilla and Marc.

Haute Hippie - Line we love.

We imagine if we were to go to a music festival, no amount of heat, possible drink spillage, or dancing could stop us from doing our own version of “hippie.” Haute hippie, that is. Picture an old ratty band tee, long loose waves, big frames, boots, and a to-die-for amazing teeny-tiny fully sequined mini skirt. THAT’S how we do hippie. Haute Hippie as a brand is all about the contrast. It is a “love affair with clothing, inspiration, design and creativity.”

Haute Hippie is t-shirts with tutus, wife beaters with lace, cargos and diamonds. We love the contrast of the luxe, yet comfortable pieces that never sacrifice style. Check with us soon for some amazing pieces from this line of everything from basics to beads, including a bronze sequin mini skirt perfect for any occasion.

Rock the Runway - Recapped!

The second annual Rock the Runway fashion show benefit was this past weekend, May 1, and was an absolute blast - and success! The event raised approximately $14,000 benefitting the northwest Arkansas single parent scholarship fund . Pretty phenomenal!

Lola had 14 fabulous models showcasing important trends for spring and summer. pretty hydrangeas piled high, pink pouts, sky high heels and stripes galore --these are a few of our favorite things! We're huge fans of a simple asthetic spiced up with accessories and special attention paid to detail and a great fit.

Stripes are great mixed in with military influenced styles such as a boxy jacket, or slouchy pant in khaki or army green. As far as accessories, a waist-cinching belt, an arm full of bangles or a statement necklace all add a little extra "oomph" to an outfit! Bright lips are an easy and inexpensive makeup trend for spring. We especially love NARS' lipstick in "Funny Face" and Revlon's colorburst lipstick in "fuchsia." For the ultimate statement in hair pieces, put a stem of dried flowers into a low messy bun. We used these minty dried hydrangeas from our fabulous neighbor, V.S. Mobley .

Die for denim

The phrase "can't live without" is thrown around somewhat loosely in the fashion world, but we truly (really!) feel this way about denim shorts. They are a definite summer staple in your wardrobe. Denim shorts represent the laid-back cool of an American summer: Over a swimsuit at the lake, backyard at a barbecue, or a hot night out (literally).

Ripped, rolled, cut-off, high-waisted, bermuda, bleached... We have so many options , indeed something for everyone. Denim shorts are incorporated flawlessly into the current americana and denim on denim trends.

Love a high-waisted cut-off with a slouchy cropped tee. We have this pair from current/elliott and also customized vintage levi's by a local designer, Taylor Sutton. Show off your gams and balance it out up top with a looser, bohemian style top.

Any destructed denim contrasted with a feminine top as seen on Kate Bosworth at Coachella. Bosworth is wearing our J-Brand cut-off in "neptune," which features a slouchy fit and destroyed wash.

Bleached or tie-dyed denim is fun for summer with a neon top or basic white t-shirt. This pair from paper, denim & cloth is nice and super affordable at only $45.

Shop these and other denim shorts on our site or in our downtown Fayetteville boutique.

Sometimes less is more, and sometimes "more is more." This is the mantra Subversive designer Justin Guinta seems to follow when creating his one-of-a-kind detailed pieces.

Guinta worked creatively in everything from fashion, art, and industrial design before creating jewelry line, Subversive. These influences are all evident in his work and we love the layered, de-constructed look of his pieces. He mixes metals and stones effortlessly to create statement pieces that are sure to be the missing link to any wardrobe.

We currently have several necklaces from Subversive's "sunken treasure" collection which feature antique chains and stones.
